First Britney and K-Fed… now this?

It seems as though one of the most beloved celebrity couples is taking a break…

He #1 said, “People start assuming that things are a lot worse than what they are, which they’re not. But they’re obviously not as great as they used to be.”

Then He #2 said, “How much time we spend together, really makes no difference.”

He #1 ALSO said, “The reality is there’s been a change in the relationship over 14 years and, hopefully, we can just put it behind us,” and continued “You go from sleeping over at somebody’s house five days a week, and now you don’t sleep over. It’s just not that big of a deal.”

And finally He #2 said, “Everyone assumes they know what our relationship is… People want to keep tabs on how many times we go out to eat, things like that.”

It’s sad really, that this set of comments has been uttered by two 30-year old men. Guys, play baseball. Sleepovers? Relationship? Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter could not sound any more gay regarding their rift… not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course. Still, I thought it was amusing how all their comments sound like they came straight out of a Ben/J.Lo type ordeal. It’s baseball, guys. Alex is married, Jeter is dating every woman ever, and you two are both 30+. Was it seriously supposed to last? Quit soundin’ like high school girls, and win the damn World Series with your combined $40 million this year!

The full A-Rod story can be found here.

The Jeter side is here.
